Just the other day the kiddos declared, “Mom, you need to move this stuff, it is in the way!” Our kitchen is project-central. Whether we’re cooking, baking, doing homework, working, painting, drawing, or creating some other wonderful thing…the table and island are the places to be. The counters and islands are quickly filling up and spilling onto the island…one of the youngest kiddos’ favorite places to make and watch.
- homemade mayonnaise
- pineapple vinegar to make cortido
- pickled garlic
- pineapple chutney
- sourdough starter
- soaked sourdough ebelskiver batter
- sourdough pancakes
- herb rye bread
- pain d’épices
- sourdough banana bread…
…we need a pie safe.
I’ve been enamored with them for quite a while…but I’m not making that many pies right now. 🙂
Those of you fermenting away in your kitchen…where do you put everything? The cold storage is too cold….and the counters are too full.
I think a pie safe would be so charming and yet functional.
