How do we keep up with all of the wonderful holiday gatherings? We had to forgo a couple this week, but instead focused on our paper chain of giving and producing our own Nutcracker as a family (stay tuned). Saturday we attended our ward holiday party as well as the much looked forward-to Aunts Kathryn & Charlotte’s holiday parties.
There was caroling, crafts, yummy treats and lunch, and of course some special gifts from Aunts Kathryn and Charlotte. They go all out to make it such the special party for their grand nieces and nephews! This year there were 30 kiddos, a bun in the oven, 2 grandmas, 2 dads, 7 moms, and a partridge in a pear tree!
Seriously, I don’t know how they do it in Grandpa & Grandma Berg’s lil’ old house, but they do, and we all have a blast! Thanks so much Aunt Kathryn and Charlotte for once again making Christmas a magical even for all! We love you!
So we’ve been reading about different holiday celebrations during Christmastime, here are some of our favorite books we’ve been reading (Hanukkah books to share in another post):
Kwanzaa by Lola M. Schaefer
Celebrations by Barnabas and Anabel Kindersley
How are you celebrating this holiday season? What special traditions or gatherings occur with your family?
