The dancer requested a chocolate cake with a dancer a top. 🙂 If you look closely, you’ll see a dancer twirling amidst the candles our lil’ dancer carefully placed. No, Grommie, it wasn’t as “Martha would have done,” :), but it was moist, healthy, and delicious! It was an easy cake to make and we’ll be doing just that again, sometime soon.
sour cream chocolate cake
1 1/2 c spelt flour (you could also use whole wheat)
3/4 cup raw honey
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c plus 2 tbs butter, softened
3 tbs cocoa
3/4 c sour cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
I wasn’t too worried about order here. Simply mix ingredients and bake in two 8 inch pans at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Mmmm I best go eat some of the leftovers…
