delight – our literary club

09.09 021

The evening was quietly blanketed in a flurry of fresh, perfectly white snow.  Mother Nature didn’t mind that it was still September…:)

The kiddos and I had enjoyed our day together preparing for the dinner…singing, visiting the grocery store, picking up toys, and making pie.

Soon the designer and kiddos were out for a night on their own.  The Condo was peaceful and full of aromas:

creamy butternut & vegetable soup
spelt rolls
mixed greens salad with pumpkin seeds, Parmesan, and balsamic vinaigrette
eastern spiced marinated chicken
and
berry pie with a spelt coconut oil crust

Our book was the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.  It was the perfect book to read and start our own literary group.  I chose to forgo cooking the potato peel pie.  🙂

And here are some of the lovely ladies:

    • Welcome Andrea! 🙂 What are you reading next month? I haven’t been in a book club since I was 12…I’m excited! 🙂

  1. So Terresa W sent me here after we exchanged a few emails and she found out I live in Heber. Your book club looks like so much fun! We’ve lived in Heber for a little over a year, and I had my baby at home last November. I’ve loved poking around your blog- its so well done!
