Dear builder,
Happiest returns of the year, as pooh bear would say. 🙂 It’s been an exciting year, you’ve learned and accomplished so much. I’m still trying to figure out how to be your momma, and I love this journey. You brighten my days with your excitement, queries, ideas, proposals, and creativity. Sometimes I am simply overwhelmed at how much is going on in that beautiful head of yours.
These photos are two of my favorites from March. The first, shows your true feelings towards your little sister and brother (you’ve told me you want a sister next…though you might change your vote later 🙂 ). You are their leader, their confidant, their playmate. They look up to you and want to be just like you. Thank you for teaching them about Jesus. For being an example of prayer and for loving the scriptures. I love the way you treat your friends. You’ll forget this one day, but as you, Savannah, and Riley go to Sunbeams, you always take their hands. When you make amends, you love to kiss and hug the person you’ve offended. One day this will seem a silly thing to do, but I love watching you genuinely offer love.
The second photo shows your love of learning. You are developing and discovering that desire to learn, to create, to become.
You’ve taught me so much. I am honored to be your momma, your friend, your “princess” as you have been calling me lately. I love you very much and am so happy to be your momma!
Happy 4th buddy!
xoxo,
momma
Well said!
I read on Pioneer Woman, how her kiddos are just beginning to read her blog, that they started with their past birthday posts. As I wrote, I couldn’t help but want to record things that they’ll find funny or interesting as they look back later. 🙂
