It’s interesting to watch a painting unfold. Here is gigi’s lavender road last night when I left for girl’s night out.
I’m not sure if it’s done. The designer and I will have to look at it a while…
I’m discovering that commissions are more difficult. Perhaps it is the desire to manifest another’s vision, or maybe it is the hope that it will be enjoyed. Either way, I like letting the brushes do their thing and having someone fall in love with it.
These two close-ups are my favorite parts of the painting. I usually have a vignette or two that I really enjoy…here I believe it is the trunk of the tree.
There’s something magical about power lines…I know, I’m crazy!
Well, Gigi will be here in a half hour, so I best jump in the shower while the grower is napping!
I love the painting! Power lines are aswsome! They give a great depth of feild look and feeling. I might ask you to paint one of the photos I take. What would charge for it? : )
Wow, I’m honored Julia. I’d love to paint from one of your amazing photos.
Awsome! I just love your paintings!
Very cool, Katrina. I liked seeing the development of the painting…Thanks for sharing.
It’s funny, the one thing that the designer and i both wish is that we would have taken art in high school…that it would have helped us so much in architecture school, made us better designers. Sometimes I think instead of hanging out in the CAD lab, I should have been in art with Matt! 🙂
I’m coming over from Mormon Mommy Blogs, asking for your help. I am in the running for a round trip airfare paid ticket to Connecticut, to meet a friend I became acquainted with through blogging. She is a super fun person and is holding this contest. I entered a funny story titled “Grapejuice Floaties, Now Marry Me.” The person whose story receives the most votes will win a trip to meet this generous lady, whom I’m hoping to meet. The voting ends Sunday evening. I am ahead for now but there is a story coming up from behind out of nowhere and I would so, so, appreciate your help. Her blog is http://www.becausemomsaidso.blogspot.com and the voting is on the sidebar on the right. “Grapejuice, Floaties” Just go there and cast a vote for me, please. Thanks so much-you’re awesome! ♥♥
