We told the kiddos that the van needed to see the ‘car doctor’ for a check-up. Instead of waiting inside, we chose to walk to the Home Depot. News to us, but every first Saturday of the month, there is a kids workshop. Today, the kiddos made jewelry boxes. Next month they will be making race tracks.
As you can see in the photo above, they are given their own official Home Depot apron. After the project is complete, a pin is placed on the apron with an image that represents what they made.
The boxes turned out really cute. The dancer wants to paint hers…hopefully we’ll do that tomorrow. The hardest part for the kiddos was leaving the rubber bands and letting the wood glue dry.
After the workshop, we roamed the store and shared some popcorn.
Next time the van needs servicing, you’ll know where to find us!
