Even though it snowed in the mountains last week, summer has arrived. It makes me think of the Rodeo, the county fair, parades, Midway City’s small town 4th, Midway Art Association’s Wasatch Plein Air Paradise, Swiss Days, bbqs with family and breakfasts up Daniel’s Canyon at Whiskey Springs.  Mostly though, I think about the vivid smells, sounds and colors experienced only with the senses of a small child.

I’ll still be painting cakes and delectable delights, but this is the beginning of a new abstract series about moments and memories.
