Ben at Fortune’s Mill just finished the frame for my painting of Dad’s office. Isn’t it bold and beautiful! I met Benny and the lovely Linda while painting this charming home during this year’s Plein Air Paradise event. They are two of the most wonderful people I have met!
When we picked up the frame Saturday evening, they invited us in, gave us fresh veggies from their garden: beets, carrots, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, and squash of all kinds. Their home is truly a garden of Eden. Their plants are amazing. The builder was fascinated with some old trains Linda had upstairs, the dancer loved holding their new kitten, the explorer was facinated with the turkeys and chickens, and the designer was in heaven hitting golf balls off of their hand-made Tee Box. We had a wonderful evening.
Oh, yeah…the frame. It only cost $50! Ben is open, way talented, and quite the craftsman. Want to see more of his beautiful work (doors, molding, window casings, stair railings), check out his website!
Thanks again Ben and Linda, hope to see you again soon!
I love it, Katrina!
The red looks great!
I love the diversity in your paintings. I love the one with the kids at bear lake. I still want you to do a so. utah painting for me (is the offer still good with the contest), maybe I will find a picture that has little ones in it. I think we will be taking a trip before too long.
Of course it still is! 🙂 Jayci chose to go with a larger canvas…I told her I’d give her half off any size. Here are larger sizes at half price:
9×12…..$75
11×14…$100
16×20…$125
18×24…$150
Just let me know when you find the perfect photo. 🙂
