We’ve gotten a bit more adventurous with our smoothie ingredients as of late. Carrots, blueberries, apples…basically anything lying around…even spinach. Our latest crave that the kiddos all adore (as long as the builder doesn’t see me add the carrots):
1 c almond milk
1 c baby carrots
1 c frozen strawberries
2 bananas
Puree all of the above in the blender and enjoy! (serves 4-5)
A smoothie is the perfect way to get my kids to eat veggies. For a while we were on a kick of having spinach smoothies every morning. As long as I put in enough berries, it helped tone down the bright green color and the kids loved it.
