Our local art association puts on a plein air competition each year.  This is the third.  Pictured are the winners from last year.  When plein air painting, painters paint outdoors in the “open air.”  My best friend taught me to paint while outdoors, and I really enjoy the challenge of painting outside of a studio.  Together, my best friend and I have done the competition each year and truly enjoyed it.  I look forward to the week of painting and have been pleased with the change and improvement I’ve seen within my work each year.  Tomorrow I begin a painting and will post what I’ve done by the end of the day.
