Most of the plein air contest, I painted alone, but the morning of the 5th: the Midway Paint-Out, I found myself painting next to 3 others.  It was enjoyable to see how we four could paint such different subjects and in different styles within a small proximity.  What really made me happy was meeting Beth who’d grown up in the home, her niece who now lives there, and her son, Philip who lives in our ward.  Their excitement in seeing their home painted was a joy.  ~katrina
